71.9% of the country's balance reserves of phosphorites, 68% of fluorspar, 8.8% of gold, 3% of copper, 0.7% of uranium are concentrated in the region.
The region is rich in non-ferrous metals, barite, coal, facing, ornamental and technical stones, construction materials.
Several natural gas fields have been explored within the Shu-Sarysu depression.
The reserves of feed and technical salt amount to 10 million tons.
The region is a unique base of phosphorite and fluorspar raw materials, rich in non-ferrous metals (copper, gold, silver, lead, zinc, etc.), barite, coal, facing, ornamental and technical stones, construction materials (asbestos, cement and expanded clay raw materials, gypsum, etc.), natural gas.
About 71.9% of the balance reserves of phosphorites of the Republic (the largest reserves in the CIS), 68% of fluorspar (one of the world's leading reserves of fluorspar), 65.1% of quartzite, 8.8% of gold, 3% of copper, 0.7% of uranium are concentrated in the region
Stocks of feed and technical salt are up to 10 million tons. There are the largest deposits of quartzite in the Republic, noted titanium magnetite deposits.
In January 2019, industrial products were produced at current prices by 349907.5 million tenge, which amounted to 105.7% compared to January 2018.
